Find studs, metal and live wires

This digital wall scanner detects wood or metal studs at depths of up to 13 mm, 25 mm or 38 mm, depending on the scan mode selected. It can also detect magnetic metal up to 80 mm deep and non-magnetic metal up to 60 mm deep.

Use AC mode to locate unshielded live wires up to 51 mm deep. If you’re unsure how deep to scan for studs, start with the 13 mm mode and select a deeper mode if needed.

Clear readings while you work

The scanner features an LCD screen, green backlight, low-voltage indicator and metal depth indicator to help you read detection results. It switches off automatically after three minutes.

Battery-powered operation

This handheld detector is powered by a 9V 6F22 battery, which is not included. Its operating current is under 50 mA, with a shutdown current of under 10 μA.
